Biography
Panchi Bora is an actress/model from Assam and graduated with a BA (Hons) in English from Fergusson College in Pune, which is one of the top ten colleges in India. Her father is a retired colonel from the Indian army who at one time was stationed at Kargil. Panchi is very religious and seeks advice from her guruji from the Vasishtha Ashram near Guwahati before embarking on any new venture.
She started her showbiz career as a model. She then bagged the role of the lead character, Ananya in the Balaji serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagii after a nationwide talent huntof 106 cities which was conducted in July 2004. Kitni Mast Hai Zindagii was the first soap to be aired on MTV and was originally intended to run for only 39 episodes but enjoyed an extended run of 107 episodes. She has also made a guest appearances in the popular serials Sanjivani and Kasturi.
Panchi played the female lead role of Prachi in the Balaji serial, Kayamath, on Star Plus opposite Shabir Alhuwalia who plays the male lead, Milind. She has gone on to become a popular name in Indian television. Panchi Bora's innocent face and vibrant personality has captured the hearts of millions of Hindi television viewers. She has appeared in a cameo role in a film called "Its my Life". The film is a hindi version of "Bomarrillu" a hit Telegu film and it is directed by Anees Bazmee who has directed hit films such as 'No Entry', 'Welcome' and "Singh is Kinng".
Both Panchi Bora and Shabir Ahluwalia were nominated for The Best Jodi category in Star Parivaar 2008 Awards. She has also been nominated with Jay Bhanushali in the Fav Yogya Jodi Category at the Star Parivaar Awards 2007.in kalash soya oil ad:
